7. AGRIBUSINESS


The main aim of the Agribusiness Section is to identify opportunities for the development of agribusiness, education oriented enterprises and facilitate partnerships between Udayana University and other partners both national and international 
 
● our main project is a long term development combining state of the art technology from SENTER and STOAS INTERNATIONAL of The NETHERLANDS with local Indonesian investors from Makassar , South Sulawesi and Jakarta who with INI RADEF have developed a feed mill for the poultry and prawn industries in Barru, South Sulawesi. Through two companies, over 40 persons are employed and over 3,000 smallholder corn and poultry farmers are deriving benefit. This activity is now a profitable company PT DJUANNA FEED in which the Foundation has shares. 

● two agribusiness tours have been managed for The QUEENSLAND DEPARTMENT of PRIMARY INDUSTRY for Australian cattle farmers in Bali , Sumatra and Java.

● between 1994 and 1998, INI RADEF played a leading role in the development of a Bali Cattle Research Centre at Udayana University (UNUD) for private and Australian clients. This centre was handed over to UNUD in 1998.
